- Children under 10
- Free
- Children 10 and older
- 200 SEK, in cash, exact amount
- Both parents
- Must come to the Embassy to sign the form
Children born outside Zimbabwe to Zimbabwean citizens are registered at the Embassy for a Zimbabwean birth certificate.
What to bring
- The child’s birth record, in English: in Sweden, an extract from Skatteverket. It must give the child’s name, date and place of birth, sex, and the names of the mother and father.
- The original national identity cards of both parents (a passport for a parent who is not Zimbabwean), and photocopies
- The parents’ original marriage certificate and a photocopy, if they are married
The form, BD3, is given to you at the Embassy.
Both parents sign
Both parents must come to the Embassy to sign the BD3 form, so that it is not queried when it is submitted in Zimbabwe. A single mother can apply on her own: she brings her documents as above, an affidavit and a non-marriage certificate.
Fee
Free for children under 10. For children aged 10 and older, 200 SEK, in cash and in the exact amount.
