- Apostilles
- Issued in Harare by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade
- Confirmation letter at the Embassy
- 200 SEK, in cash, exact amount
- Appointment
- Required
Zimbabwean documents are authenticated with an apostille or certification stamp by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in Harare, not by the Embassy. This applies, for example, to non-marriage and marriage certificates, academic and professional certificates and police clearances.
Getting an apostille
Contact the Ministry to make an appointment at legalconsular@gmail.com. If you cannot travel to Zimbabwe, a contact person there can do it for you. The Embassy cannot apply on your behalf.
A confirmation letter from the Embassy
Once the Ministry has issued the apostille or stamp, the Embassy can confirm, in a letter, that it was issued by the Government of Zimbabwe, if you need one. Bring the document with its original apostille or stamp, and your Zimbabwean national ID or passport. The fee is 200 SEK, in cash and in the exact amount.
