What the law allows
Zimbabwe allows its citizens to hold dual nationality: you can become a citizen of another country and hold two or more passports. Zimbabwe has recently changed its provisions on dual nationality.
Your other nationality
Each country sets its own rules on dual nationality. Check the rules of your other country of citizenship with that country’s authorities or embassy.
Under the nationality laws of some countries, a married person automatically has their partner’s nationality, and children may have a parent’s nationality even if they were born abroad. If your spouse or child is travelling to the country of your other nationality, check with that country’s embassy before they travel.
Restoring, renouncing or reinstating citizenship
These matters are outside the Embassy’s mandate. Contact the Registrar General’s Office in Harare on +263 242 702295-9.
Requirements and fees are taken from the Embassy's current website and are being confirmed with the Embassy.
